Fomer Madhya Pradesh minister's wife murdered

UJJAIN: Unidentified miscreants killed Chandabai (50), wife of former state minister and Congress leader Babulal Malviya at her house in Tarana in Ujjain district on Tuesday.
ASP Rajesh Singh, who was on the way to the spot, told TOI that preliminary report indicated that the culprits were 12-15 in number and had descended at the house with intention of loot at around 7.30pm.Chandabai resisted and the culprits attacked her with a sharp edged weapon.
Chnadabai was already dead when police reached the spot. Her husband was not at home at the time of incident.
Malviya, who had represented Tarana (reserved) constituency, was the minister of state during the chief ministership of Digvijay Singh from 1998 to 2003.
